You can easily get about everywhere in LA on public transportation, however the system is quite unwieldy and can take longer than parking in Los Angeles traffic. But if you can afford to spend more time than cash, the $5 day pass will get you about LA on the five Metro trams and 2 bus services. There are extra fees for transferring to the other 20 local bus and transit services that serve the Greater LA area. Do not try to use the Metro all the way from LAX to Hollywood. Take the Union Station FlyAway bus (see below) to Union Station and catch the Metro Red Line to Hollywood from there.
The Union Station FlyAway is a bus that goes every 30 minutes between LAX and Union Station, L.A.'s Downtown rail travel and Metro cortex. For $5-$6, the services, built to service passengers with bags should finish the journey in around 45 minutes during rush hour, faster than any other available options. The Van Nuys FlyAway provides service between LAX and the FlyAway Bus Station in Van Nuys. Alternatively, FlyAway Bus provides stops between LAX and UCLA in Westwood.
shuttle service in Los Angeles close to the airports offer complimentary vehicles to transport toursits from the airport to the hotel. Most hotels have regularly scheduled shuttles to local tourist attractions and hot spots. These should be a charge. Most high-class hotels offer courtesy outgoing limo services to destinations within two or three miles.
